Community Builders: We Can Make a Difference!
Community Builders: We Can Make a Difference!
Bullying comes in many forms, including physical, emotional and social. Every year we ask, “How do we stop people from hurting others?”
This year Aberfoyle P.S went beyond awareness and took action in a tangible way. Children are often bullied for how they look or what they wear. So with the help of grade six community builders we partnered with schools in our board who have identified students in their midst in need of clothing.
We asked our school community to donate one new or gently used (clean) article of clothing that we could pass on.
The hope is that our students would realize that one person, one item or one act of kindness can make a difference. After many morning announcements and visits to classrooms to help spread the news. Aberfoyle has collected 226 pieces of clothing to pass onto a needy school.
