New Chief Fire Prevention Officer in Puslinch
Michael Roess has accepted the position of Puslinch chief fire prevention officer, effective Jan. 10.
Officials say Roess will be responsible for inspecting and conducting fire safety inspections in all businesses and institutions and investigating and enforcing compliance with fire bylaws, codes and regulations.
Roess was the Brampton Fire and Emergency Services’ fire prevention officer for over 21 years and is a Seneca College fire protection technology professor. He is a graduate of the Ontario Fire College and has completed certifications in fire prevention, advanced fire investigations, adult education practices, plans examination and sprinkler systems at the Ontario Fire College.
