Puslinch Oldtimers Complete Comeback
It can’t be said that it was a pretty game but in the end Puslinch was victorious with a
7-6 win over Lynden.
In the 3rd and 4th innings Puslinch seemed to do everything they
could but pick up the baseball. They spotted Lynden off to a 5-1 lead. The bats came to
life in the 5th for Puslinch as they scored 6 to take a 7-5 lead. The gloves seemed to settle
after that and only allowed 1 more run to come in and Ron Bless pitched a complete
game and shut the final three batters of the game down.
Puslinch’s first run came off a
Keith Mackie triple which was followed by a Scott Crow triple two batters later, but
that’s all Puslinch could mustard until the 5th. Mark McCaig got the fifth going with a
long at bat that resulted in a walk and then 6 runs to follow.
Puslinch will be hosting
Oxford next Monday (July 20) at the Community Centre in Puslinch, please come out and support
the old guys as they stay in contention with the top teams in the league. Game starts at
8:30 and the fun runs until the last out, see you there!
