Racing Charge Laid In Puslinch – Almost 100 km/h Over Limit
On August 21, 2021 at approximately 9:05 a.m., a Wellington County Ontario Provincial Police (OPP) officer was monitoring traffic and conducting radar on Highway 6 near Laird Road. The officer observed a black motor vehicle travelling southbound at a speed that appeared to be travelling well above the posted 80 km/h speed limit. The vehicle was locked on radar in excess of 175 km/h.
As a result, and 18-year-old from Puslinch Township has been charged with Stunt Driving contrary to the Highway Traffic Act.
The defendant is scheduled to appear in Guelph at the Ontario Court of Justice – Provincial Offences Court on September 18, 2021.
Their driver’s licence was suspended for a period of seven days and their vehicle was impounded for 14 days as per statute.
