Driver Stuck On Brock Road Roundabout Charged With Impaired Driving
On December 2, 2020 at approximately 12:10 a.m. the Wellington County Ontario Provincial Police (OPP) responded a report of a vehicle that was stuck on a roundabout at Wellington Road 34 at Brock Road in Aberfoyle.
Police attended and while speaking with the driver, formed the opinion that they were impaired by drugs. A substance believed to be fentanyl was located in the vehicle. The driver was arrested and transported to a local police station for further tests.
Bruno CASAGRANDE, 52-years-old of Brantford has been charged with Driving while Impaired by Drug contrary to the Criminal Code, Possession of a Controlled Substance-Fentanyl contrary to the Controlled Drug and Substances Act and Driving While Suspended contrary to the Highway Traffic Act.
A 90-day Administrative Driver’s Licence Suspension (A.D.L.S.) and 7-day Vehicle Impoundment was initiated as per statute. The accused is scheduled to appear in the Ontario court of justice – Guelph on January 5, 2021.
