County Libraries All Moving To Curbside Pickup Only
Beginning Tuesday, December 1, all County library branches will
be closed to the public but will continue to offer curbside pick up to residents.
“The number of COVID-19 cases in the County are rising at an alarming rate,” said Warden Kelly
Linton. “In consultation with Wellington-Dufferin-Guelph Public Health, we have made the
difficult decision to close all branches. We will still be offering curbside pick-up of items. Cases
continue to be linked to gatherings and gathering spaces. We hope this proactive measure
helps slow the spread of COVID-19 across the County.”
“In addition to our curbside pick-up service, the Wellington County library has wonderful online
resources available for our residents to enjoy,” said Rebecca Hine, Chief Librarian.
All branches will remain closed for the foreseeable future. County officials in consultation with
Wellington-Dufferin-Guelph Public Health, will continue to review the public health data and
will re-open the branches once the curve begins to flatten.
“I continue to urge all residents to follow public health guidelines,” said Warden Linton. “We all
need to work together to slow the spread COVID-19 in our communities.”
