via gilbertmacintyreandson.com
Suddenly, on December 5th, 2019, Jamie Hill was taken from us as a result of a car accident in his 62nd year. Jamie was a jack of all trades, working as a maintenance millwright at Con Cast Pipe for several years, mediator, an entrepreneur, a contractor and home builder. He was a very proud member of the South Bruce Peninsula firefighting team, working from station 40 in Sauble Beach. He also served as a past president of the Sauble Beach Chamber of Commerce. He was an enthusiastic traveler and was always looking forward to his next retreat to a sunny destination. Jamie is well known for being a quiet, hard-working ambassador for his community. We will remember his warm smile and his strong hands that seemed capable of building anything. Jamie is survived by the light of his life, his loving wife Susan, his mother Jean and by his children Sarah (Brent), Chantal (Sevug), Cale (Rucha), Liam and Hanna. He will be lovingly remembered by his grandchildren Logan, Julia, Blake, Nathan, London, Ruby, Ivy, Nixon and Rose. There are many fond memories shared by his sisters and brothers, Cathy (Greg), John (Cindy), Pat (Bill), Jayne (Barry), Rose (Blair), Charles (Janice),Chris (Michelle) and his brother-in-law Rob (Barbara). He is pre-deceased by his father, Charles Hill.
A Celebration of Jamie’s life will be held at Gilbert MacIntyre and Son Funeral Home, Hart Chapel, 1099 Gordon St., Guelph, ON, on Wednesday December 18th at 2:00pm, followed by a reception. In lieu of flowers, the family would appreciate donations to be made to The Bruce Grey Perth Victim Services at https://www.canadahelps.org/en/dn/18799
