Uninsured Driver Arrested In Puslinch For Refusing To Give Breath Sample

On November 16, 2019 at approximately 9:50 p.m. a member of the Wellington County Ontario Provincial Police (OPP) investigated the driver of a 2016 sedan that entered into a R.I.D.E. checkpoint on Gore Road in Puslinch Township.

While police were speaking with the driver, an odour of an alcoholic beverage was detected on their breath. A Roadside Screening Device test demand was read, which the driver refused to comply with and was placed under arrest.

Further investigation revealed that the driver was under suspension and there wasn’t insurance or permit on the vehicle.

Judit Eniko BOKOR, 37-years-old of Brant County has been charged with Fail or Refuse to Comply With Demand contrary to the Criminal Code, Drive While Under Suspension X2 and No Permit contrary to the Highway Traffic Act and No Insurance contrary to the Compulsory Automobile Insurance Act.

A 90-day Administrative Driver’s Licence Suspension (A.D.L.S.) and 7-day Vehicle Impoundment was initiated as per statute.

The accused will appear in the Ontario court of justice – Guelph on December 17, 2019 to speak to the charges.
