Big Crowds And An Outstanding Fireworks Show For Canada Day
Happy Belated Canada Day!
Well another July 1st has come and gone and once again the Puslinch Optimist Club put on a stellar day. With over 600 happy customers, wearing red and white clothing it was a sea of patriotism. There were events inside and outside the hall. If you came with an appetite you could meet your neighbours on the patio for pancakes, eggs, bacon, juice, coffee and cake. The only requirement: a donation. While sitting at the picnic tables outside you would see and hear people talking to others who were returning from being away at school, returning from trips overseas, reconnecting with others who they had not seen for a while or just catching up with community members. Inside the hall you could learn about local activities and churches in the area. If you were under 12 you could head to the soccer pitch and take part in the games and bouncy castles. Needless to say all of these areas were very busy that day. Although the morning event stopped at 11 a.m. , many people returned that night for fireworks at 9:50. Donations from this cash only event go to support many local projects.
Thank you to all the members of the optimist who helped with this event!!
