Impaired Driver Ends Up In Ditch
On Wednesday May 20th, 2019 at approximately 4:15 p.m. Wellington County Ontario Provincial Police (OPP) received a report of a single vehicle collision at Wellington Road 34 at Watson Road South in the Township of Puslinch. Initial reports indicated that a passenger vehicle had collided with a ditch at this location. Initial reports also suggested that the driver may be intoxicated.
Wellington County OPP responded and located the driver. While speaking with them, officers formed the opinion that they were impaired by alcohol. The driver was arrested and brought to a local OPP Operations Centre for further testing.
Noelia Maria MACHADO, 50-years-old of Guelph has been charged with Impaired Operation and Impaired Operation-80 Plus. A 90-day Administrative Driver’s Licence Suspension (A.D.L.S.) and 7-day Vehicle Impoundment was initiated as per statute. The Accused is scheduled to appear in Guelph Criminal Court on June 14th, 2019.
