A Celebration Of Life: Fred Quinton
QUINTON, Frederick George – passed unexpectedly in his 77th year on August 2, 2024 after a short illness. Fred was the much-loved partner of Sally Whittle, proud father of Cheryl, Marielle & Eric Quinton. Fred was brother to Rob Quinton (Jackie) and uncle to Matt Quinton (Shannon) their child Livia & Melissa Shkuratoff (Alex) and their children Myles & Quinn. Fred was honorary step-Dad to Gregory Whittle (Jean McCaig) and their children Abigail Whittle, Jack McCaig, Rose McCaig and Charlotte McCaig.
Fred had a long career in the insurance industry specializing in Employee Benefits. His life included a love of golf, hockey, skiing, slow-pitch, curling, sailing, Power Squadron and bridge.
Fred donated much time to support The Children’s Foundation of Guelph-Wellington and was awarded by the City of Guelph for his 20+ years of chairing the “Fore our Kids” golf tournament. He served on the U of G Alumni Association for several years.
There will be a celebration of life at the Puslinch Community Centre, 23 Brock Rd S, Puslinch, on Thursday, August 29, from 2.00pm until 4.00pm, with a presentation at 3.00 pm. Arrangements entrusted to the WALL-CUSTANCE FUNERAL HOME & CHAPEL 519-822-0051 / www.wallcustance.com.
A tree will be planted in memory of Frederick G. Quinton in the Wall-Custance Memorial Forest.
