Cambridge Hit-And-Run Car Found On Fire In Puslinch

Waterloo Regional Police Service’s Neighbourhood Policing South Division is investigating a hit and run motor vehicle collision in Cambridge.
On August 7, 2023, at approximately 3:10 a.m., police responded to a report of a hit and run collision in the area of Franklin Boulevard and Saginaw Parkway.
An unknown driver of the suspect vehicle rear ended the driver of another vehicle. An altercation took place between the two drivers and the victim was then assaulted by the unknown driver. The unknown driver then fled the area in the suspect vehicle.
At approximately 3:40 a.m., officers located the suspect vehicle on fire in the area of Highway 6 and Highway 401, and the unknown driver had fled the area.
The unknown driver was described as a Black male, early 20’s, black hair, and was wearing a black hoody and blue jeans.
There were no physical injuries reported as a result of this incident.
The investigation is ongoing.
