Puslinch Minor Ball Is On The Prowl
Two more big wins to finish up the week and to showcase our young superstars. First off, the U9 team gave Drayton/Moorefield a rude welcome to our township with a 24 to 3 beating on Wednesday night. The following night the U 11 Puslinch Prowlers Grey team, easily defeated Alma 12 to 3.
The U9 team hosted their home opener to Drayton/Moorefield on Wednesday night. Drayton/Moorefield were no match for the overpowering Puslinch team. Almost every player on the Puslinch team touched home plate that night. Jacob Seeley, Quinn, Rockliffe, Aeden Dickertt lead the team with three runs each. Cedric Butler, Charlie Hiller, Carey Macklin, Halen Rockliffe, Keegan Dickert, Violet, and Nolan O’Brien, Lucas Lang, and Harris Bough all scored one or more runs. Big shout out to home runs hit by the brother duel of Keegan and Aeden Dickert. And it wasn’t all offenses, either, as Harris Bough had a shining defensive catch to keep runs off the board from Drayton/Moorefield. Great job young Prowlers!
After a tough loss to open this season on Tuesday night to their sister team Puslinch Black, the U 11 Puslinch prowlers gray team came out flying against Alma! Scoring all 12 or their runs in the first three innings, they were led by Maxine Bough, yes, the sister of the previous superstar mentioned, Harris Bough (must be some good baseball genetics in that household!). As Maxine scored three times for her team. Griffin Coburn & Ebaad Urrahman were right behind her scoring two runs each. Charlie McLaurin, Mason Hunt, Sydney Leachman, Colin Markle and Eli DeFrancesca each scored a run as well.
Mason Hunt started his second game on the mound, and was very impressive yet again! Griffin Coburn made his very first pitching appearance, and made it a memorable one as he closed out the game with a strikeout and no runs against him! How do you follow that up? There was also a beautiful defensive gem in the game as Mason hunt went from pitcher to catcher in the third inning and behind the backstop he made a beautiful throw to third baseman Charlie McLaurin to throw out an attempted steal by Alma. What a great bounce back game by the Grey! And also, a big shout out to the new rookies on the team, who made their debut that night, Jake and Noah Ingram.
