Puslinch Santa Claus Parade Back On The Road!
The Optimist Club of Puslinch is excited to bring our traditional Santa Claus parade back to Puslinch. The Club will celebrate 27 years of bringing Santa to the kids of Puslinch. This year’s parade will be even bigger and better!
Santa will be coming to Aberfoyle on Sunday, November 27th at 2 pm. The parade will start at the Township Fire Hall and then head east to Brock Road and south to the Optimist Recreation Centre. Young and old can watch anywhere along the parade route. All parade participants are asked to arrive by 1 pm at the firehall.
Following the parade, Santa will park his sleigh at the Optimist Recreation Centre to visit with the children. Each child will receive a goody bag from the jolly old guy himself. Optimist volunteers will provide hot chocolate and hotdogs.
You may bring your Santa letter to put in the mailbox. All letters with a return address will receive a written letter back from Santa. Parade colouring pages are available at the library and school offices.
There is no cost, but we do encourage your children to bring a donation to the Food Bank. Donations will be collected along the parade route and at the Optimist Recreation Centre.
We welcome your family, club, organization or business to enter a float and display who they are. The theme this year is “Christmas Around the World”. We invite and welcome our musical bands, animal friends, dance and theatre groups, churches, schools, sports teams and businesses to participate. Would you like to be a clown, mascot or elf or help with crowd control and food donations? If you know how to tie animal balloons, do face painting or special tricks, all are welcome.
The Optimist Club of Puslinch welcome your participation and hope you will enjoy your parade experience and chance to see Santa. It’s all about the kids and bringing joy!
For more information, to register your float or to volunteer, please call Ken or June Williams at 519-763-0309.
See you at the Parade!
