Canadian Children’s Book Week: Virtual Visit with Jon Klassen
Join us in celebrating Canadian Children’s Book Week from May 2 – 8! This literary festival helps
connect authors and illustrators with their readers, and spreads the magic of books across the
country.
On Tuesday, May 4 at 10:00 am, bring picture book creator Jon Klassen into your classroom or
living room for a virtual reading of his latest book. A Rock from the Sky features Klassen’s
characteristic deadpan humour and visual suspense in a collection of stories about a turtle, an
armadillo, and a snake.
This free event is presented in partnership with Wellington County Library and Eden Mills
Writers’ Festival. Visit https://edenmillswritersfestival.ca/the-rock-from-the-sky/ to register.
Story Time at Home (All Ages)
Join us virtually for live songs, stories, rhymes, and activities aimed at developing your child’s
early literacy skills. Pre-registration is required to receive a kit and virtual meeting link. If you
would like to join us from another branch, please let the hosting branch know upon
registration.
Wednesdays, May 5, 12, 19 and 26 at 11:00 am
