SPECIAL BULLETIN
Your tourism business and not-for-profit is important to the County
We want to help Wellington County tourism businesses and not-for-profits safely re-open or stay open, and make sure consumers feel confident about coming to Wellington County in the future!
 
In partnership with RTO4 and Elora Fergus Tourism, we are announcing a new Tourism Adaptation and Recovery Programme. We have a simple application process and provide a portion of payment upon notice of approval. The programme is meant to help small and medium sized enterprises (SMEs) and not-for-profits (NFPs) in the hospitality, arts, retail and culture sector by supporting adaptation and re-opening costs incurred due to Covid-19.
Two streams available:
1) Physical Adaptation
SMEs can apply for up to $20,000 per business towards implementation of health and safety protocols and/or renovations or equipment to accommodate social distancing. Please note: in order to support as many businesses as possible we anticipate most grants to be $5,000. A minimum 20% match is required by the SME or NFP for the amount applied.
2) Technology Investment
Eligible SMEs can apply for $5000 for digitizing businesses or services such as virtual queues, online ordering, timed entry ticketing, and touch free payments.
Deadline to apply is February 1, 11:59 pm.

Eligible expenses:
  • Labour (Labour directly related to the project only.)
  • Expertise
  • Non-Capital
  • Capital
  • Funds applied for can include retroactive expenses starting in June 2020 (retroactive)

Regional Relief and Recovery Fund (RRRF)
The Regional Relief and Recovery Fund (RRRF) is a lifeline to support businesses and not-for-profit organizations affected by the economic impacts of COVID-19, that are unable to access other federal relief measures, or require additional support.
 
Training and Consulting Grant funding up to $2,000 to focus on providing technical and professional training and consulting services to help SME’s recover from the COVID-19 pandemic. Available to business in Mapleton, Centre Wellington, Guelph-Eramosa, Erin or Puslinch.
Business Resurgence Programme is a free consulting programme for local small businesses. There are several options for consulting options available: Business Bootcamp, Business Profit Optimizer, Business Advisor, Digital Marketing Coach, or a membership with the Excellence in Manufacturing Consortium. Available to businesses in Minto and Wellington North.
