Thieves Break Into Cars At Puslinch Trail
On July 4, 2020 at approximately 6:05 p.m. members of the Wellington County Ontario Provincial Police (OPP) responded to a report of mischief and theft from two vehicles that were parked in a trail parking lot on Arkell Road.
Investigation revealed that unknown suspects smashed the windows of two separate vehicles and stole purses and property that included cell phones, cash, identification and credit cards. Two males in a light coloured Honda Civic were observed watching the victim lock her purse in the trunk before heading out on the trail
Wellington County OPP is continuing to investigate and is urging vehicle owners to leave valuables at home or carry them with you in a backpack while out on the trails. Unfortunately – this is not an uncommon occurrence. Thieves will break into your vehicle by damaging it, steal your property and be gone within seconds. Always be aware of your surroundings and report any suspicious activity, people or vehicles to police.
