Puslinch Township Prepares For Electronic Council Meetings
The COVID-19 situation continues to change rapidly, and as a Township, we are doing our
best to adapt how we conduct business and serve our community, while protecting the safety of our
staff and residents. Township officials are working closely with Wellington-Dufferin-Guelph Public Health to respond to the situation.
The Municipal Act, 2001 has been amended to provide that, during municipal or provincial emergencies,
members of councils, local boards and committees who participate electronically in open and closed
meetings may be counted for the purposes of quorum. As such, the Township of Puslinch is making
every effort to ensure public participation while conducting Council Meetings electronically.
How can the Public participate?
- Notice of each meeting will be posted on the Township of Puslinch website. The notice will include the date and time of the meeting, the meeting platform, and when the recording of the
meeting will be available for viewing. - Agenda material will be posted on the website approximately 2 days prior to the meeting.
- A recording of the meeting will be posted on the Township website immediately following the meeting.
- Written delegations will be accepted and can be sent to [email protected] Staff will advise each delegate the meeting date on which their delegation will be heard.
- As is normal practice, Meeting Minutes will be posted to the Township website once approved by Council.
Please subscribe to the Township’s Council Calendar to receive updates on all upcoming Township
