A Celebration Of Life: Eric Coburn
COBURN, Eric Kitchen
August 25, 1943 – February 20, 2020.
It is with great sadness that we announce the passing of Eric Kitchen Coburn on February 20, 2020, after a long-fought battle with Alzheimer’s.
Predeceased by his parents John and Margaret Coburn and sister Jeanette.
Leaving behind his son Stephen Coburn and wife Vicki Williams Coburn, their children Jasmine and Griffin, and his daughter Wendy Clague and husband Kevin Clague, and their children Eric, Esprit and Jamie. Dear brother of Allan (Sheila) and Ean (Beppy). Will be fondly remembered by several nieces and nephews and great nieces and nephews. Predeceased by his long-time girlfriend Geraldine Rohlig.
Originally from the Puslinch area, Eric had a long career of almost 40 years at CBM in Aberfoyle. He succumbed to his illness at the Meaford Long Term Care Home in Meaford, Ontario. A resident of Meaford for the last 11 years, Eric lived in a very special place to his heart – near the water where he loved to fish, near Junior hockey where he could be seen wearing his Meaford Knights Jersey cheering on the boys or hunting in parts of Ontario with his buddies.
A celebration of Eric’s life will be held in the spring – details to be announced. Memorial contributions to Ducks Unlimited would be appreciated. Arrangements entrusted to the WALL-CUSTANCE FUNERAL HOME & CHAPEL, 519-822-0051 or www.wallcustance.com.
A tree will be planted in memory of Eric K. Coburn in the Wall-Custance Memorial Forest, University of Guelph Arboretum. Dedication service, Sunday, September 20, 2020 at 2:30 pm.
