OPP Arrest One Suspect In Aberfoyle Robbery – Others Still At Large
In the early morning hours of December 18, 2018 Wellington County Ontario Provincial Police (OPP) responded to an armed robbery at a gas station on Brock Road South near Aberfoyle. Video surveillance captured the images of the two suspects as they entered the business and pointed a handgun at the attendant. The two unknown suspects then robbed the store of cash and tobacco products. Wellington County OPP released photos from the robbery to the media and public in the hopes of identifying the two.
With the assistance of the Toronto Police Service, Wellington County Major Crime Unit executed a search warrant within the City of Toronto. As a result police have arrested 18-year-old Samir Abdunsir ADEM of Etobicoke who has been charged with Armed Robbery and Uttering Threats to cause Death. He was held for bail.
Wellington County OPP continues to investigate the incident and is attempting to identify additional suspects.
