Gas Bandit Caught On Camera – OPP Seeking Help From Public
On September 25, 2018 members of the Wellington County Ontario Provincial Police (OPP) received a report of a gas-theft that occurred at a gas bar on Brock Road South, Puslinch. An unknown male operating a white Chevrolet Malibu had pumped fuel and drove off without paying for it.
Investigation has revealed that the same car was used in another two similar crimes in the area and a man matching the suspect’s description was involved in both. The other two incidents include a theft from Highway 401 ‘ONROUTE’ and one from another Brock Road South location. At each theft the suspect stole approximately a tanks worth of fuel. Police believe that vehicle involved may have attachments to Ottawa and that driver may frequently use the Highway 401 Corridor.
OPP are asking the public for assistance in identifying the suspect shown in the photo.
