Violent Robbery & Drunk Driver Crashes In Puslinch
FOUR CHARGED WITH ROBBERY WITH VIOLENCE – VICTIM STABBED DURING EVENT
On March 3, 2018 at approximately 6:40 a.m., Wellington County Ontario Provincial Police (OPP) responded to a report of a robbery at business on Mason Road, Township of Puslinch.
OPP attended and found the victim suffering from a stab wound and learned that the victim happened upon unknown suspects attempting to steal a tractor trailer. The victim confronted one of the suspects and an altercation ensued. The victim was cut by the suspect who then fled in a vehicle with the other suspects.
Guelph Wellington Paramedic Services attended and transported the victim to a local hospital with a non-life threatening injury.
With the assistance of the Wellington County Crime Unit the suspects have been identified and charged.
44-year-old Harjinder SANDHU, 30-year-old Maheep SINGH, 60-year-old Balwinder DHENSA and 36-year-old Mandeep GILL, all of Brampton, have been charged with Robbery With Violence, Assault causing Bodily Harm, and Possession of Stolen Property under $5000.
Mandeep GILL has also been charged with three counts of Fail to Comply with Recognizance, and Possession of Break in Instruments.
All accused are scheduled to appear in Guelph Criminal Court June 1, 2018 to answer to the charges.

DRIVER CHARGED WITH OVER 80 AFTER CRASH
On May 12, 2018 at approximately 2:50 a.m. a Wellington County Ontario Provincial Police (OPP) officer was travelling on Townline Road in the City of Cambridge and observed a motor vehicle heading southbound travelling at a very high rate of speed. The vehicle collided into the centre median at a roundabout and continued on with two punctured tires.
Police stopped the vehicle, spoke with the driver and formed the opinion that he was under the influence of alcohol. A roadside test was administered which resulted in a Fail. He was arrested and transported to a local detachment for further testing.
26-year-old Jeremiah Bell of Cambridge has been charged with Driving with Over 80 mgs of alcohol in 100mL of blood contrary to the Criminal Code. A 90-day Administrative Driver’s Licence Suspension (A.D.L.S.) and 7-day Vehicle Impoundment was initiated as per statute. He is scheduled to appear in Guelph Criminal Court on June 5, 2018 to answer to the charge.
