The Donkeys Loved All The Cuddles
It was definitely a cold and crisp afternoon, but the donkeys didn’t mind. On Sunday, Dec. 17th it was the last of the open house Donkey Days until April 2018. On average there were 500 people each week that visited to learn about how to care for the animals. Charlie, Stella and Esme (being held by their parents) were delighted to see all the animals. While Carolyn, with her friend Glenda happily petted many of donkeys.
Brayden and Avery were hoping that a donkey could be hitched up to take them for a ride but alas that did not happen. Grace had her eyes set on the miniature donkeys and brought mom, grandpa and grandma with her. This not for profit sanctuary for neglected, abused and unwanted donkeys relies solely on donations to help give these animals a decent life. Thanks to all the volunteers who baked and brought treats for the open days. A big thank you also goes to everyone who donated money when partaking of the treats as it all goes to a common cause. Looking forward to seeing everyone in April 2018!
