Cars Broken Into While Owners Hiking At Starkey Hill
On October 18, 2017 at approximately 10:00 am Wellington County Ontario Provincial Police (OPP) received a report of a car being broken into while the owner was hiking.
Investigation revealed that the vehicle was parked between approximately 9:00 a.m. and 10:00 a.m., at Starkey Hill Conservation Area, 735 Arkell Road, while the owner was walking. During that time unknown suspect(s) smashed the window of the vehicle and stole a purse.
While speaking with the complainant it was observed that the vehicle parked beside her had also had its front passenger window smashed. The owners of that vehicle later returned and advised that a purse that had been left in the vehicle had been taken.
