Guided Bird Walks At Crieff Hills Conference Center
By Marion Robertson.
Every Tuesday morning there is a guided bird walk at Crieff Hills Conference Center. We leisurely walk the property, bird watch and monitor the nesting boxes. Next June 6 will be our last guided walk since we will stop entering the boxes and let the young birds develop and fledge undisturbed. So far, we have approximately 30 pairs of nesting tree swallows and 3 pairs of bluebirds. It is shaping up to be a phenomenal bird nesting year.
It was a great photo opportunity day and I wanted to share these pictures with you.
What beautiful photos of these rarely seen birds – lovely! I hope to go on one of your bird-watching walks one of these Tuesdays in the not-so-distant future. Would also love to have a tongue wag about Native Trees sometime. I appreciate the work you are doing!
