UPDATED: Structure Fire on Queen Street in Morriston now being investigated as ARSON
UPDATE:
Criminal Investigators from Wellington County Ontario Provincial Police (OPP), West Region Criminal Operations, Forensic Identification Services Unit (FISU) and the Ontario Fire Marshal (OFM) are investigating the fire as arson and have reason to believe that the fire was set deliberately.
On March 5, 2017, at approximately 4:30 a.m. Wellington County Ontario Provincial Police (OPP) received a call from a motorist passing by regarding a structure fire at a vacant building located on Queen Street in Morriston.
Puslinch Fire and Rescue Services, Guelph-Eramosa Fire Department, Guelph Fire Department, and the Hamilton Fire Department attended the scene and the cause at this time is unknown. This incident is being investigated by the Wellington County OPP, OPP Forensic Identification Services Unit (FISU), Puslinch Fire and Rescue Services and the Office of the Ontario Fire Marshall Emergency Management.

I Hope this is not another Arson related fire that has been ongoing in other Parts of Wellington County

I also had the same first thought – what are we at now, 20 or so? Crazy – surely they can catch whoever is doing this? So sad to lose these historic structures.
Lets hope one of our Fine Citizens of the Community we call Puslinch seen something that will collar these idiots and bring this to a stop. All of Our First res-ponders are put in Harms way every time they have to go out to deal with this. It needs to stop before someone is hurt or loses a life.
