Puslinch Mourns The Passing Of Councillor Wayne Stokley
Puslinch Township media release:
It is with heavy hearts that the Township of Puslinch Council and staff share the
news of the passing of Councillor Stokley on May 29, 2016.
“On behalf of the Township, I offer our sincere condolences to the family, friends and loved
ones of Councillor Stokley,” said Mayor Dennis Lever.
Wayne was first elected to Township Council in 2010 and has been a resident of the Township
for over 40 years.
Wayne’s many contributions include the role of Chair of the Township’s Recreation Committee
and being an active participant in the Green Legacy Tree Distribution Program, member of the
Well Protection Committee and Community Oriented Policing. Over the years, Wayne also
served on the following Committees – Active Transportation, Audit, Badenoch Community
Centre Board, Fire and Rescue Services and Planning Advisory.
The Township extends heartfelt condolences to his wife Barb, his two children, Erin and Tyson,
and his grandchildren, Gavin, Keaghan, Maisie, Makenna and Chase.
To honour Wayne’s memory, all Township flags will be lowered to half-mast until sunset on the
day of the funeral.
