Proposal To Use THREE MILLION Litres Of Water/day
Little discussion was held by Puslinch council late last month on a request by Cox Construction to renew a 10-year permit to take up to nearly three-million litres of water per day to wash gravel.
Puslinch council briefly reviewed the correspondence sent to the municipality last month as a result of the requirements of Ontario’s new Water Taking and Transfer Regulation.
The regulation requires that the Ministry of the Environment and Climate Change notify municipalities and conservation authorities of applications for Permits to Take Water to withdraw water from locations within their jurisdiction.
