Highway of Heroes Entourage to come through Puslinch Friday November 20th
Former Canadian soldier John Robert Gallagher, age 32 was killed in an ISIS suicide bomb attack in Syria a few weeks ago. John will be returned home to his family in Blenheim Ontario this Friday. Municipal fire departments are being asked to occupy bridges from Toronto to his hometown of Blenheim with a fire apparatus and uniformed staff.
There are 7 overpasses in the Township of Puslinch and the public is welcome to attend. Puslinch Fire Chief Steve Goode has suggested the Watson Road Overpass is likely the safest one to stand along and so any members of the public wishing to honour our fallen soldiers are encouraged to attend at this location.
The timeline is to leave Toronto at 12 noon sharp and arrive in Blenheim by 2pm. It is expected that they will be passing through Puslinch soon after 12:40, but the time isn’t guaranteed. Please support the Gallagher family, friends and the Canadian Military during this most difficult time.
PuslinchToday would like to thank Chief Goode for publicizing this event, and all First Responders and members of the public that are able to show up to show support for the Gallagher family.
